Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
People photograph bills, letters, even medical paperwork with Kandedong. So privacy isn't a page to us — it's how the product is designed. Here's how we handle your information, in plain words.
Your photos
A photo is used only to generate that one explanation, then discarded. We don't store your photos, and saved history contains text only — never images.
What we process
To generate an explanation, the photo content is processed by AI services (next section). If you choose to sign in, we store your account basics (sign-in method, language, text-size preference) and the text results you save. The product works fully without an account.
Third-party AI processing
Image understanding runs on Anthropic's Claude models; read-aloud runs on ElevenLabs. Both are called from our servers — keys never live on your device, and your photos are not used to train these providers' models.
How long we keep things
You choose how long saved text results are kept: 30, 90, or 365 days, deleted automatically after that. You can also delete any single record, or your entire history, at any time.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, run third-party ad tracking, or embed third-party analytics. The read-aloud feature logs usage counts only — never the spoken content.
Cookies
This website uses a single essential cookie to remember your language choice. No ad cookies, no tracking cookies.
Children
Kandedong is for users 13 and older.
